Week 16 already. That simply can't be.
The AFC playoff chase is a blast furnace. So hot.
Two games have already been played this week. The Oakland Raiders somehow generated enough points to defeat the San Diego Chargers in overtime on Thursday.
The Washington Redskins clinched the NFC East title with their 38-24 win over the Philadelphia Eagles last night.
Here's a look at this week's remaining games.
New York Giants @ Minnesota Vikings
Pick: Vikings
We'll stat with the nightcap. Odell Beckham's idiocy last week took some of the fun out of this game. There's some talk that this game might be meaningless for the Vikings by the time that it kicks off. That would be true if the Vikings were simply satisfied with the #6 seed. Satisfied with being o.k. Every game means something in the NFL. Every team should play like they do.
Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons
Pick: Falcons
I really don't think that the Falcons win this game. I just think that the Panthers drop a game before the season ends and time's running out on that.
Dallas Cowboys @ Buffalo Bills
Pick: Bills
A rematch of a couple of Super Bowls. I'll go with the team that lost both those games. Both teams seem to be playing with thoughts on their offseason plans.
San Francisco 49ers @ Detroit Lions
Pick: Lions
Speaking of big game rematches this is a rematch of a wildly entertaining playoff game in 1957. The Lions are playing like they want to keep playing.
Cleveland Browns @ Kansas City Chiefs
Pick: Chiefs
The Chiefs haven't lost a game since they lost to the Vikings in Week 6. That win-streak should continue into the playoffs as they have the Browns today and the Raiders next week.
Indianapolis Colts @ Miami Dolphins
Pick: Colts
The Colts have more to play for than the Dolphins.
New England Patriots @ New York Jets
Pick: Patriots
The Jets have to keep pace with the surging Chiefs and Steelers in the AFC playoff chase. But this is Tom Brady vs. Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Chicago Bears @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Pick: Buccaneers
I'll go with the home team.
Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans
Pick: Texans
Like the Colts, the Texans have to win. Someone has to want to win the AFC South.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens
Pick: Steelers
The Steelers offense is so explosive and the Ravens are fielding practice squad players and street free agents.
Jacksonville Jaguars @ New Orleans Saints
Pick: Saints
This game could turn into a shootout. I'll go with the home team and Drew Brees. The Jaguars have a very bright future if they stock their defense like they have their offense.
Green Bay Packers @ Arizona Cardinals
Pick: Cardinals
This could be the day's best game not involving the Vikings. Despite collecting a decent number of wins the Packers just haven't looked right all season.
St. Louis Rams @ Seattle Seahawks
Pick: Seahawks
The Rams have played their division foes tough in recent years. They could surprise here but I'll go with the better team.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Denver Broncos
Pick: Broncos
The Broncos need this game more than the Bengals.
There it is.
