Should I Stay Or Should I Go?

This is the time of the college football season when underclassmen start making their intentions to enter the NFL Draft known. They have until January 18 to file declaration papers with the league. The league being the NFL. The official list of underclassmen accepted by the league will be released on January 22.

Here's a list of players that have announced that they are leaving college for the NFL:

Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor
Pharoh Cooper, WR, South Carolina
Kamelei Correa, DL, Boise St.
Su'a Cravens, LB, USC
Ezekial Elliot, RB, Ohio St.
Leonard Floyd, LB, Georgia
Kendall Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech
Myles Jack, LB, UCLA
Quinton Jefferson, DL, Maryland
Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson
Steve Longa, LB, Rutgers
Alex McCalister, DE, Florida
Yannick Ngakoue, DL, Maryland
Robert Nkemdiche, DL, Mississippi
Emanuel Ogbah, DL, Oklahoma St.
Alex Redmond, OL, UCLA
Noah Spence, DE, Eastern Kentucky
Ronnie Stanley, T, Notre Dame
Kelvin Taylor, RB, Florida
Ron Thompson, DE, Syracuse
Jonathan Williams, RB, Arkansas
Scooby Wright, LB, Arizona

If a recent pattern holds the Minnesota Vikings will be drafting UCLA LB Myles Jack. Whether the Vikings like it or not they will have to move up in the draft in order to add another standout UCLA linebacker.

Players that are leaning towards early entry:

Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson
Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio St.
Tyler Boyd, WR, Pittsburgh
Kenny Clark, DL, UCLA
Vernon Hargreaves, CB, Florida
Jayron Kearse, S, Clemson
Darron Lee, LB, Ohio St.
Jalen Ramsey, DB, Florida St.
Demarcus Robinson, WR, Florida
Jaylon Smith, LB, Notre Dame
Laquon Treadwell, WR, Mississippi

There's sure to be many more to declare between now and January 18.

A quick glance, and less than informed evaluation, finds at least half of the first round of 2016 NFL Draft filled with the above football players.

As a Vikings fan I like the receivers listed above, safety Jayron Kearse, and linebacker/maybe safety in the pros Su'a Cravens from the above players. If I had to pick a football player for the Vikings right now, at hopefully pick #32 of the first round, I'd pick senior guard from Stanford Joshua Garnett.

We'll know much more about the players above and the NFL Draft in the coming weeks.
