Week 14 Picks

Week 14 holds a Sunday without the Minnesota Vikings. That's a real shame. Sundays are better with the Vikings playing. They took care of their game for the week on Thursday. A 23-20 heart-breaker to the Arizona Cardinals. Here are my picks for the remaining Week 14 games. For some reason the NFL has a whopping 11 games in the early window.

Washington Redskins @ Chicago Bears
Pick: Bears
Simply because it's a home game and the Redskins have yet to win on the road.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals
Pick: Steelers
Hoping for a fantastic football game in this one. The Bengals are the better, more complete team but the Steelers are hard to stop when Ben Roethlisberger is throwing well. And he's been throwing well.

San Francisco 49ers @ San Francisco 49ers
Pick: 49ers
The Browns are a mess right now. The 49ers defense have been keeping the opponents scoring down and the offense is doing enough with Blaine Gabbert.

Iindianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Pick: Colts
The Jaguars offense has been scoring a bunch with Blake Bortles and his young group of playmakers. The Colts have to win these division games if they want to stay on top of the division. The guess here is that they slow the Jaguars enough and they score just enough to win.

Tennessee Titans @ New York Jets
Pick: Jets
The Jets have done enough to win more than they have lost. With young, exciting Marcus Mariota leading the way the Titans can be wildly entertaining. They can also be wildly inconsistent.

Buffalo Bills @ Philadelphia Eagles
Pick: Bills
The media is having a blast with the LeSean McCoy-Chip Kelly reunion. That alone is enough to stay away from this game. Despite the Eagles stunning win over the Patriots last week the Bills are the better football team.

Detroit Lions @ St. Louis Rams
Pick: Lions
I wonder how many games the Rams have to lose for head coach Jeff Fisher to lose his job. The Lions should rebound nicely from their stunning, no-second loss to the Packers.

New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Pick: Saints
The Buccaneers behind rookie quarterback Jameis Winston have bulled their way into the NFC playoff picture. The Saints still find a way to win on the road.

San Diego Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs
Pick: Chargers
The Chiefs are the hottest team in the league outside of Carolina. Six straight wins. The Chargers find a way to end that streak in Kansas City.

Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers
Pick: Falcons
Here are two teams traveling in the opposite direction. If the Falcons are the one to upset the undefeated Panthers it's more likely that it happens in two weeks in Atlanta. But, why not pick it here? The Panthers are bound to lose a game before the season ends. Here it is? Maybe. It could happen.

Seattle Seahawks @ Baltimore Ravens
Pick: Seahawks
The Ravens have simply lost too much to injury.

Oakland Raiders @ Denver Broncos
Pick: Raiders
The Brock Osweiler train hits a speed bump?

Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers
Pick: Cowboys
Another upset pick. Maybe just a hopeful pick by a Vikings fan. The Cowboys defense is playing great. The Packers have been stumbling for about six weeks. Maybe the shocking win over the Lions snapped the Packers out of that stumbling. We'll see.

New England Patriots @ Houston Texans
Pick: Patriots
The nightcap. Unless the Patriots are stunned by the same sort of big plays that stunned them last week they should be able to handle the Texans. Especially if some injured players return to the lineup.

New York Giants @ Miami Dolphins
Pick: Giants
This is a tossup. The Giants have a lot on the line. This could be for sole possession of first place in the barely mediocre NFC East.

There it is.
