College Bowl Games

The attention-getting games are the College Football Playoff games.
Clemson vs. Oklahoma
Alabama vs. Michigan State
The 2015 NCAA Champ will come from those games.

Stanford probably has the greatest complaint of those schools left out of the final four but they shouldn't have given that game away to Oregon. Stanford looked terrible against Northwestern to open the season but they are one of the best four teams in the nation now. That Oregon game cost them dearly.

80 teams get to experience postseason fun. That's a lot. I remember the days in which about a quarter of that many teams were invited.

Cal gets their first bowl game since they lost to Texas in the Holiday Bowl in 2011. Cal vs. Air Force in the Armed Forces Bowl is a rematch of the 2007 Armed Forces Bowl. Cal defeated Air Force in that edition 42-36. This should be an interesting matchup. Air Force's option attack against against Cal's hurry-up attack. Air Force specializes in 8-minute drives. Cal takes about a minute for many of their drives.

All of the bowl games interest me but the games beyond the playoff games and the Cal-Air Force game that interest me the most are these:
Rose Bowl: Iowa-Stanford
Fiesta Bowl: Notre Dame-Ohio State
Peach Bowl: Florida State-Houston
Alamo Bowl: TCU-Oregon
Citrus Bowl: Michigan-Florida
Holiday Bowl: Wisconsin-USC
Birmingham Bowl: Memphis-Auburn
Russell Athletic Bowl: North Carolina-Baylor
Military Bowl: Pittsburgh-Navy
Foster Farms Bowl: Nebraska-UCLA
Hawaii Bowl: Cincinnati-San Diego State
Boca Raton Bowl: Temple-Toledo

Bowl season starts in ten days. The San Jose State Spartans with their 5-7 record take on the 6-6 Georgia State Panthers in the Cure Bowl.
