Week 7 Picks

We have another London game today. So we have another very early start to our NFL Sunday. 6:30 AM on the west coast. Who does that? The NFL does that. This time it's the Jacksonville Jaguars that lost one of their eight home games. They play "host" to the Buffalo Bills at Wembley Stadium. Jaguars owner Shahid Khan doesn't seem too concerned about losing home games. He always seems to be the first in line each season to be one of the teams that visits London. If I was a Jaguars fan living in or near Jacksonville I wouldn't be too thrilled about that.

This London game is going to be a little different from those that have come before it. It's not going to be on that old television set. It's going to be streamed online. Yahoo! has the game. It's free. But it's online. Now, I know that I can be more than a little grumpy with some of the recent advances in technology and content but I have absolutely no interest in watching an entire game on a phone. Let alone a computer. I've watched preseason games streamed online and it's far more frustrating than enjoyable with and it's stops and starts. If this involved a Minnesota Vikings game I wouldn't be a very happy Vikings fan. So there.

Here are the Flea Flicker picks for the Week 7 games.

Chicago, Cincinnati, Denver, and Green Bay are on bye.
-undefeated Denver and Green Bay face off next week in one of the best, and most anticipated, games of the first half of the season.

Minnesota Vikings @ Detroit Lions
Pick: Vikings
Is there any doubt? If the Vikings do win it would be their first road win of the season. They have to find a way to win road games on a regular basis. Playoff teams do that.

Buffalo Bills "@" Jacksonville Jaguars
Pick: Bills
Is Blake Bortles the only healthy offensive skill position player in this game?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Washington Redskins
Pick: Redskins
Both teams have been unpredictable so I'll go with the home team.

New Orleans Saints @ Indianapolis Colts
Pick: Colts
The Saints showed some life last week in handing the Falcons their first loss of the season. The Colts have to get it together.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Kansas City Chiefs
Pick: Steelers
The Chiefs offense is severely handicapped without running back Jamaal Charles. Steelers quarterback Landry Jones will get his first NFL start. He has enough playmakers around him to succeed. He just has to protect the football.

Houston Texans @ Miami Dolphins
Pick: Dolphins
Two in a row for interim Dolphins coach Dan Campbell? The Dolphins do have some talent. The Texans have J.J. Watt and DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins has been incredible this season.

New York Jets @ New England Patriots
Pick: Patriots
The Jets have been the surprise team of the year in my book. 4-1! First year head coach Todd Bowles has just gone about his business. He's done an outstanding job. The Jets defense has been great. So has running back Chris Ivory. The Patriots just win.

Cleveland Browns @ St. Louis Rams
Pick: Rams
Browns quarterback Josh McCown has been on fire of late. They took the undefeated Broncos to overtime last week and should've/could've won. The Rams need to play against the rest of the NFL like they do against their NFC West foes.

Atlanta Falcons @ Tennessee Titans
Pick: Falcons
The Falcons have to rebound from their first loss of the season. The Titans will be without rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota. Zach Mettenberger gets the start.

Oakland Raiders @ San Diego Chargers
Pick: Chargers
The Chargers might be one of the best 2-4 teams in a recent memory. They keep coming up short. Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has been great. So has receiver Keenan Allen.

Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants
Pick: Giants
This is a coin-flip pick. The Giants have to protect quarterback Eli Manning.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Carolina Panthers
Pick: Panthers
The Panthers had a breezy early schedule. They proved their undefeated worth against the Seattle Seahawks last week. The Eagles are so unpredictable.

Baltimore Ravens @ Arizona Cardinals
Pick: Cardinals
This game was probably circled as excellent when the schedule came out. Injuries have taken the bite out of the Ravens. This feels like one of those games where the proud, under-performing underdog puts it all together for a surprise win. But, I won't predict that.

There it is. Put absolutely zero faith in any of them. Except for maybe the Vikings pick.
