The most remarkable thing about the 2015 NFL Standings through seven weeks is the presence of five teams sitting pretty at 6-0. Never before has the league seen five teams at 6-0.
New England Patriots
Cincinnati Bengals
Denver Broncos
Carolina Panthers
Green Bay Packers
The Bengals and Panthers are probably the biggest surprises among those five.
There won't be five perfect teams at this time next week. The Green Bay Packers play the Denver Broncos this Sunday. One team has to lose or it's a tie. Either way, at least one team leaves this weekend with a blemish.
What a difference a year makes. Last year the NFC South looked like this year's AFC South. A sub-.500 team led the way. This year, the NFC South has an undefeated team and a single-loss team at the top. The Saints have picked up the pace of late but at 3-4 they have a long way to go. Last year, they would've been in first place.
If the playoffs started today, a team with a losing record would be included in the postseason fun. Hopefully, the Indianapolis Colts can do something about that.
