Week 6 Picks

Week 6 is already here. This season is really moving along. Here's a look at the games.

The Dallas Cowboys, Oakland Raiders, St. Louis Rams, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on their bye weeks.

The New Orleans Saints dealt the Atlanta Falcons their first loss of the season on Thursday night to kick off week 6. It wasn't too long ago that I thought that the Saints-Falcons rivalry was the best in the league. Each team was good to very good and the games were often terrific. Even when the Falcons started to falter more recently the games were still entertaining. This year it's been the Saints that have fallen off. The Falcons are soaring under rookie head coach Dan Quinn. In that sense the 31-21 Saints win probably goes down as a surprise but nothing should surprise in this still entertaining rivalry.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Minnesota Vikings
Pick: Vikings
The Vikings had better not look past the Chiefs. Losing running back Jamaal Charles last week to a knee injury was a serious blow to the Chiefs. That sort of loss can make a team unpredictable and an unpredictable football team is a dangerous football team. They've lost four games but three have been to undefeated teams and they should have won one of those(Broncos). I still pick the Vikings. And I don't think that they look past the Chiefs. They might have done that against the 49ers in week one and look how that turned out.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills
Pick: Bills
The Bengals are undefeated and feeling pretty good about themselves after their big come-from-behind win over the Seahawks. The Bills need a lot more offense than they showed last week.

Denver Broncos @ Cleveland Browns
Pick: Broncos
The Browns offense has been surprisingly great the last two weeks. They still split those games. The Broncos defense is crushing everything in their path and Peyton Manning and the offense are doing just enough.

Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions
Pick: Lions
The Bears have won two straight and the Lions have yet to win a single game. I pick the Lions.

Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Pick: Jaguars
Two combined wins between these division foes. It's the Jaguars here because Blake Bortles is better than any quarterback on the Texans roster.

Washington Redskins @ New York Jets
Pick: Jets
I wonder what happened to that Redskins team that thrashed the Rams in week 2. The Jets have been one of the surprise teams so far and they've had a two weeks to prepare for this game.

Arizona Cardinals @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Pick: Cardinals
Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has been playing out of his mind. Bruce Arians' days with the Steelers and his departure from Pittsburgh might have him extra motivated for this game. It's a real shame that Ben Roethlisberger has been ruled out.

Miami Dolphins @ Tennessee Titans
Pick: Dolphins
What will this Dolphins look like? Dan Campbell is about as opposite a coach from Joe Philbin as you can get. The Dolphins simply have more talent the Titans right now and I think that Campbell lights a fire under this team. We'll see how long it lasts.

Carolina Panthers @ Seattle Seahawks
Pick: Seahawks
The Panthers are undefeated and the Seahawks haven't played so hot. The Seahawks have lost three games and they are real lucky that it's not four. It should be four. This is the Panthers first real test of the season and I don't see them passing it.

San Diego Chargers @ Green Bay Packers
Pick: Packers
The Packers struggled a bit last week against the Rams. They still won by two touchdowns. They just have too much offense, too much Aaron Rodgers, and too much Lambeau for the Chargers.

Baltimore Ravens @ San Francisco 49ers
Pick: 49ers
A rematch of Super Bowl XLVII. Both proud teams are really struggling. The 49ers finally showed some life against the Giants last Sunday night. The Ravens haven't shown much life this season.

New England Patriots @ Indianapolis Colts
Pick: Patriots
The nightcap. The Patriots are cruising. The Colts are struggling despite being 3-2. A healthy Andrew Luck could make this game very interesting but right this game still feels like all Patriots.

New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles
Pick: Giants
Monday Night. The Giants seem to do just enough each week. I still don't trust Chip Kelly. Or his team.

There it is.
