Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans
Pick: Texans
The Jaguars have been a preseason darling for a couple of seasons. Until they turn that promising young football talent into wins I'm probably picking the other team. The Texans are a Super Bowl contender. Their defense is dynamite.
New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills
Pick: Bills
The Jets are supposedly tanking the season. I'll go with the Bills.
Philadelphia Eagles @ Washington Redskins
Pick: Eagles
The NFC East teams start the season with division fights. Any of the four can take the division title so all of the fights will be tense, fun, and a toss-up. I'll go with the Eagles in this one.
Arizona Cardinals @ Detroit Lions
Pick: Cardinals
A coin flip. The Cardinals are something of a mystery until I see them play. All teams are at this point but this Cardinals team is more of a mystery to me than most.
Oakland Raiders @ Tennessee Titans
Pick: Titans
This could/should be a real fun game. Both teams have title hopes. I'll go with the home team.
Atlanta Falcons @ Chicago Bears
Pick: Falcons
A tough start for the Bears.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns
Pick: Steelers
As with the NFC East the AFC North teams open the season against division foes. It feels like the Browns are finally moving in the right direction but they just can't get a break. Now Myles Garrett is out for a while. The Steelers offense is tough to stop with your best defenders on the field. It's a much tougher task when they are on the sideline.
Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals
Pick: Bengals
A coin flip. I'll go with the team that didn't just get their quarterback back.
Indianapolis Colts @ Los Angeles Rams
Pick: Rams
The Colts look like they'll struggle until Andrew Luck returns to the field.
Carolina Panthers @ San Francisco 49ers
Pick: 49ers
An upset?
Seattle Seahawks @ Green Bay Packers
Pick Packers
Many have penciled in this matchup as the NFC Championship. The Seahawks have become a Super Bowl favorite with the addition of Sheldon Richardson to the defense. Aaron Rodgers finds a way in the opener.
New York Giants @ Dallas Cowboys
Pick: Giants
Another fun NFC East fight. The Giants in the opener.
New Orleans Saints @ Minnesota Vikings
Pick: Vikings
Adrian Peterson signs with the Saints and a few days later the schedule is released with a Vikings-Saints Monday Night opener. A coincidence?
Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos
Pick: Chargers
A coin flip.
Stay safe Florida.
