Offseason workouts are winding down across the NFL. The “long” wait for the start of training camp is about to begin. That makes this a fine time to take a look at some of my favorite offseason additions for each of the league’s 32 teams. Next up is the NFC South.
Favorite Offseason Additions: NFC South
Atlanta Falcons
Ruke Orhorhoro, DT, second-round pick
While the Vikings didn’t have the second-round pick necessary to select Ruke Orhorhoro, I still hoped that he might somehow find his way to Minnesota. I expect him to have a terrific NFL career.
Carolina Panthers
Robert Hunt, G, free agent
Damien Lewis, G, free agent
The Panthers needed to improve the offensive line in front of Bryce Young. I liked the aggressive move to address the front with two of the best guards in free agency.
New Orleans Saints
Bub Means, WR, fifth-round pick
I can’t not pick a player named Bub.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jalen McMillan, WR, third-round pick
These days, it feels like every draft is loaded with top-notch pass-catchers. So much so, that talented receivers like Jalen McMillan fall to the third round. I expect him to form a nice trio with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin for Baker Mayfield.
