The Minnesota 53-man roster was set on Saturday. Their 10-man practice squad was assembled yesterday. Here it is.
RB Dominique Williams
FB Blake Renaud
WR Isaac Fruechte
G/T David Yankey
G Isame Faciane
S Anthony Harris
LB Brian Peters
LB Brandon Watts
DL B.J. DuBose
DL Zach Moore
Nine of the ten players were with the Vikings in the offseason and training camp. Zach Moore is the only player that arrived from another team. He was released by the New England Patriots on Saturday. He was a Patriots 2014 sixth-round pick out of Concordia University in St. Paul. So, he's sort of coming home.
There's some talent on this practice squad. I wouldn't have been surprised if any one or more of Brian Peters, Brandon Watts, and Anthony Harris had made the 53-man roster. B.J. Dubose and Zach Moore might eventually find a place on the roster but it's a tall task to crack the Vikings defensive line as it's one of deepest position groups on the team.
Vikings rookie offensive lineman Tyrus Thompson was released on Saturday with an injury designation. He was added to the injured reserve list on Sunday. With that move and the addition of B.J. DuBose to the practice squad all ten of the Vikings 2015 draft are on the team in some fashion.
