The Minnesota Vikings whittled their roster down to the mandatory 53-man limit yesterday. Here's what we have.

There it is. At least for now. Cornerback Jabari Price is technically still on the roster but he's suspended for the first two games. A roster decision will have to be made then. One of the tight ends? The only fullback on the roster? The Vikings weren't content with their offensive line depth so they traded a 2016 sixth-round pick to the San Diego Chargers for Jeremiah Sirles. If there were any roster surprises for me they came with the linebacker cuts. Some tough decisions were made there. It wouldn't have been a surprise to me if Michael Mauti, Brandon Watts, or Brian Peters were part of the final 53. The practice squad might start with those players. Some of the players on the Vikings 2015 practice squad probably might have been Vikings starters about a decade ago. The talent level has improved that much. That's a good thing but it makes roster decisions much more difficult.
