Even a quick glance at the roster reveals areas that may be addressed as soon as later today. For starters, carrying only eight offensive linemen doesn’t feel like a sustainable strategy. Four QBs? Four TEs? Only four outside linebackers? Five cornerbacks is a slight surprise. An NFL roster is always a fluid thing. Setting the initial 53-man roster is always a significant moment but it’s a fleeting moment.
In getting to the 53-man roster limit, the Vikings placed some players on some of the Reserve lists available to them.
Reserve/Injured
Tyler Batty, OLB (season-ending IR)
Michael Jurgens (Designated for Return)
Reserve/Suspended
Jeshaun Jones, WR
Until it’s not, this is the 53-man roster of the 2026 Minnesota Vikings.
