Most Influential Black Coaches

Each day of Black History Month, David Porter recognizes an Influential Black Football Coach. I discovered this endeavor of his two years ago. Now, I look forward to it. Some of the coaches are well known. Many probably aren’t. At least, I’m not familiar with them. Thanks to Coach Porter, I’ve become familiar with them. The fact that he can do this every year and not repeat naming coaches is an indication of the number of black football coaches doing great things all over the country. Despite their pathetic representation among the ranks of NFL head coaches, highly qualified black coaches are out there in large numbers.
