NFL Top 100: 40-31

Here's this week's reveal of the NFL's Top 100. Players ranked 40-31.

40. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Miami Dolphins
39. Muhammad Wilkerson, DL, New York Jets
38. Greg Olsen, TE, Carolina Panthers
37. Marshall Yanda, G, Baltimore Ravens
36. DeMarcus Ware, LB, Denver Broncos
35. Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
34. Aqib Talib, CB, Denver Broncos
33. Doug Martin, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
32. Kam Chancellor, S, Seattle Seahawks
31. Allen Robinson, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

If it was up to me I'd flip this week's players with last week's players. Here's what we had last week.

50. Devonta Freeman, RB, Atlanta Falcons
49. Fletcher Cox, DL, Philadelphia Eagles
48. Chandler Jones, DE, now Arizona Cardinals
47. Eli Manning, QB, New York Giants
46. Philip Rivers, QB, San Diego Chargers
45. Trent Williams, T, Washington Redskins
44. Tyler Eifert, TE, Cincinnati Bengals
43. Ezekiel Ansah, DE, Detroit Lions
42. Tyron Smith, T, Dallas Cowboys
41. Le'Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers

Fletcher Cox, Chandler Jones, Trent Williams, Ezekiel Ansah, Tyron Smith, and a healthy Le'Veon Bell are all players that wouldn't be a shock to find in the Top 30. But, this list isn't up to me. It's the player's list and this is about this week's list. Let's see it again.

40. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Miami Dolphins
39. Muhammad Wilkerson, DL, New York Jets
38. Greg Olsen, TE, Carolina Panthers
37. Marshall Yanda, G, Baltimore Ravens
36. DeMarcus Ware, LB, Denver Broncos
35. Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals
34. Aqib Talib, CB, Denver Broncos
33. Doug Martin, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
32. Kam Chancellor, S, Seattle Seahawks
31. Allen Robinson, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

If Ndamukong Suh would stop being an idiot and just let his ridiculous strength and football talent shine he'd be a Top-10 player, an all-time player.

Muhammad Wilkerson, Greg Olsen, Marshall Yanda, and Allen Robinson are the stars of this group in my book. All are deserving of being ranked even higher than we find them here.

DeMarcus Ware. Great football player. He's been one of the league's best pass rushers for a decade. I thought that he was showing that decade of wear last year. Then the playoffs happened. He was the pass rushing force through that Super Bowl run that he's always been. Ware and Von Miller were, arguably, the reason for that successful Super Bowl run.

Andy Dalton has been a solid quarterback in nearly all of his regular season games. There have been many regular season games throughout his career in which he was much better than solid. The playoffs are a different story. He has to get some playoff wins. It looked like last year was going to be the year. He was one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Then he got hurt. Dalton has to get the Bengals into the playoffs again and then win.

Aqib Talib and Doug Martin are similar to me. I watch some games in which they are game-changing, dominant football players. Then I see games in which they disappear. Puzzling.

The only issue that I have with Kam Chancellor is that he's ranked so far ahead of teammate Earl Thomas(#66).

In only two seasons Allen Robinson has become one of my favorite receivers in the league. Joining the likes of Julio Jones, Larry Fitzgerald, and Antonio Brown. Robinson has excellent size, the sort of size that allows him to be open without much separation. He makes contested catches. What he lacks in speed he makes up for with just about everything else. And, he's only 22. He's the sort of receiver that I hope that the Minnesota Vikings found in Laquon Treadwell.

30-21 is revealed next week. Fun stuff.
