2016 NFL Draft Order

With the regular season done the order for the 2016 NFL Draft is now set for the 20 teams not part of the postseason fun. Here's the order for those 20 teams

1. Tennessee Titans (3-13)
2. Cleveland Browns (3-13)
3. San Diego Chargers (4-12)
4. Dallas Cowboys (4-12)
5. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-11)
6. Baltimore Ravens (5-11)
7. San Francisco 49ers (5-11)
8. Miami Dolphins (6-10)
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-10)
10. New York Giants (6-10)
11. Chicago Bears (6-10)
12. New Orleans Saints (7-9)
13. Philadelphia Eagles (7-9)
14. Oakland Raiders (7-9)
15. St. Louis Rams (7-9)
16. Detroit Lions (7-9)
17. Atlanta Falcons (8-8)
18. Indianapolis Colts (8-8)
19. Buffalo Bills (8-8)
20. New York Jets (10-6)

The NFL Draft returns to Chicago on April 28.

The Jets with that winning record is the team that doesn't look quite like they belong. But they couldn't beat the Buffalo Bills when they absolutely had to beat the Buffalo Bills.

The draft day decision of the Dallas Cowboys might be the most interesting. This is a team that had Super Bowl dreams until they lost quarterback Tony Romo for nearly all of the season and receiver Dez Bryant for most of the season. If those two players return to health and stay that way they could contend for the NFC East and possibly more. They don't have the list of needs that most teams that draft this high tend to have. They could draft a quarterback at #4 and let him learn and develop for a season or two behind Romo. A quarterback that quickly comes to mind is Cal's Jared Goff. He has the passing skills, arm talent, and dedication for the NFL but with his slight frame he could use some time to develop physically.

If the Jaguars can start stocking their defense with young talent like they have with their offense they could be scary real quick. #5 is a good place to find some defensive talent.

The Titans are looking for a new head coach. The #1 pick and an exciting, young, franchise quarterback in Marcus Mariota might make this team the most attractive of the franchises looking for a new coach.

It's great to not see the Minnesota Vikings among the top-20 Draft Order. It's been a while.
