Rush Is An Idiot

The last time that the clown Rush Limbaugh spoke of football it cost him his job. In 2003 he resigned from ESPN after angering many viewers by saying that then Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb was overrated because "the media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well." How this clown got himself a job with ESPN is a mystery to me. His employment there was a disaster. He should have taken that episode as evidence that football is not his game. Of course, he didn't because he's an idiot.

Here's what he had to say about Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III:

"RGIII, the quarterback-don't know for how long-of the Washington Redskins, came into the league amidst great fanfare. First round choice. Daniel Snyder, the owner of the Redskins, traded up to get RGIII, and he's had some injuries and he just hasn't maxed his potential. Well, some people think he's bombed. And the media, it's kind of strange, because here we have an African-American quarterback and yet the media has been kind of mean to RGIII. And of the reasons is that it's suspected that RGIII is a Republican."

It must be special in Rush's little world because he's out of his mind in this one. This is the first that I've ever heard of anyone ever mentioning RGIII's political leanings. Let alone suggesting that those leanings might impact the opinions of the media. I'm hardly a fan of the media but that's mainly because of dumbass comments like this one. And Rush is a part of the media. He's shown once again that he shouldn't be part of the sports media but he is, unfortunately, part of the media. RGIII receives criticism from nearly everyone with a pen or voice because his play on the field since his rookie year has been wildly inconsistent at best. Terrible at worst. Some of that has been due to injuries but his play really hasn't been very good. That's why he's received criticism. It has absolutely nothing to do his choice of political parties.

And Rush Limbaugh is an idiot for even suggesting it.
