NFL Top 100 By College

It's been nearly a week and I still can't seem to pry myself away from the NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2017. It doesn't help that NFL.com College Football 24/7 writer Chase Goodbread found a need to break the list down by the college that the players attended. Until training camps start in a few weeks. it's easy to be distracted by these fun football things.

One player each: Arizona, Auburn, Boise State, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Central Missouri State, Cincinnati, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Florida, Florida International, Fresno State, Iowa State, Kansas State, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Nebraska, North Alabama, North Carolina State, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma State, Penn, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Utah, Utah State, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Washington.
If there's a surprise at the top it might be Georgia with five players. A good school with a fine football tradition but it's a surprise to see the Bulldogs tied with Alabama. Georgia was alone in first last year with six players.

Cal with two! Hopefully Marshawn Lynch and DeSean Jackson can make a return to the Top 100 list on new teams. That would get them tied with Stanford. Add in the annually underrated Cameron Jordan and Cal tops Stanford as they always should.

One final note of trivial importance. The 100 players came from 55 colleges.
