Offensive Thoughts:
Rookie Dalvin Cook tops the running back depth chart. Latavius Murray has yet to practice but it's hardly a surprise that Cook's at the top. Latavius Murray was activated yesterday from the PUP list. He and Jerick McKinnon will probably battle for or share the HB2 role.
It's interesting to see Bucky Hodges and Kyle Carter sharing the #3 tight end spot. Hodges has too much intriguing physical talent to not take the spot come decision time.
It just feels like a matter of time before Pat Elflein makes the center position his. He was drafted in April to be there for a long time.
Where's Moritz Boehringer?

Defensive Thoughts:
The defensive line competition has been and will continue to be outstanding. The final decisions will be difficult. Some of those that don't make the team won't be without a job for long.
Emmanuel Lamur and Edmond Robinson continue to compete for the weak-side linebacker spot. Rookie Ben Gedeon has entered that competition as well.

Special Teams Thoughts:
For the time being the veterans are holding off the youngsters in the kicking competitions. It'll be interesting to see if Marcus Sherels holds onto the dual return duties.
