A couple Vikings Schedule thoughts:
I love seeing the Vikings on the west coast. I already have tickets to the 49ers game and I’m working on the logistics for a bigger trip surrounding the Chargers game.
Speaking of the west coast, it’d be nice if the two California trips were separated by more than a single week. If there’s a gripe to the schedule, it’s the traveling to start November. @Baltimore, @Los Angeles, home against the Packers, and @San Francisco (Santa Clara). Over a four week stretch, the Vikings will travel to the coast three times. That’s a rough travel schedule.
A Week 7 Bye could be worse. This year’s bye weeks start in Week 6. Later is better for a season that’s had a game added to it.
The Week 14 Thursday Night game against the Pittsburgh Steelers creates a late season “mini-bye.” That’s nice.
Judging in May, it looks like the toughest part of the Vikings 2021 schedule comes when they return from that Week 7 Bye. Cowboys, @Ravens, @Chargers, Packers, and @49ers. That’s a grind. The travel doesn’t help.
The NFL’s three-week preseason schedule was also announced. The Vikings preseason schedule:
Week 1
Denver Broncos
Week 2
Indianapolis Colts
Week 3
@ Kansas City Chiefs
