30. Carolina Panthers-Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson
31. Denver Broncos-Jerran Reed, DT, Alabama

This is a mess. About the only thing that can be taken from this mock attempt is that there is ridiculous depth at defensive tackle. All of the draft "experts" and talkers have been saying that but it's still impressive to see. I had to rush at the end to fit Robert Nkemdiche, Sheldon Rankins, and Jerran Reed in there. Although Nkemdiche is a serious wild card. His off field shenanigans could keep him waiting for a while when the real draft arrives. Those defensive tackles are first round talents and there are others that could be among the first 31 players drafted. Baylor's Andrew Billings, UCLA's Kenny Clark, Florida's Jonathan Bullard, Penn State's Austin Johnson, and Ohio State's Adolphus Washington to name a few. And there's even more than that. Crazy depth.

The last seven picks of this mess of a mock, minus Nkemdiche, are more likely to be drafted in the first half of the first round. All defensive players. All top prospects. Crazy depth on the defensive side of the ball. Not just defensive tackle. But defensive tackle is especially special.

I have doubts that the Vikings select a receiver in the first round but I do think that Treadwell would be tough to pass at #23. Or TCU receiver Josh Doctson. I think that an offensive lineman (Spriggs, Kansas State's Cody Whitehair, or Texas A&M's Germain Ifedi), a safety (West Virginia's Karl Joseph or Florida's Keanu Neal), or one of the defensive tackles is a more likely option than receiver in the first. Plus, Pitt's Tyler Boyd is one of my favorite receivers in the draft and it would be real nice if he was still available when they pick at 54 in the second round. That's if the Vikings even want to add a receiver early in the draft.
