The Vikings have signed journeyman offensive lineman Christian DiLauro. To make room on the roster, offensive lineman Sam Schlueter was waived with a non-football illness designation (Illness?). DiLauro has been on the practice squad of nearly a fifth of the league’s teams. After not being selected out of Illinois in the 2018 NFL Draft, DiLauro signed with the Cleveland Browns. After being released in September it was a year on the practice squad and then training camp with the San Francisco 49ers. A month with the Houston Texans. A year with the Pittsburgh Steelers. DiLauro finally saw time on an active roster with the Tennessee Titans in 2021. He made his NFL debut against the 49ers in Week 16. It was back to the Titans practice squad in 2022 and then about a week on the Washington Commanders practice squad. DiLauro was signed to the Broncos practice squad last October. He was promoted to the active roster in December. He was on the Broncos roster until he was released last week. His has been quite the NFL roster navigation over the last five seasons. Now, DiLauro has a shot to stick with the Vikings.
