Minnesota Vikings Week 13 Superlatives

The Minnesota Vikings outlasted the New York Jets in Week 13. It was another one-score win. 27-22. At the expense of my heart, these one-score games have become routine. Here are some of the players that made this most recent one possible.

Offensive Player of the Game

Dalvin Cook, RB

20 carries for 86 yards and a TD

Seeing as the Vikings offense slept through much of the second half, it’s a little difficult to pick an offensive player of the game. Dalvin Cook ran well. He probably would’ve sailed past 100 yards if the offense had managed to convert some of the second half third downs.

Defensive Player(s) of the Game

The safeties:
Harrison Smith
Camryn Bynum.

Harrison Smith started the game with an interception. Camryn Bynum ended the game with an interception. The best thing that the Vikings did was force the Jets to settle for five field goals. Well, that and a couple of red zone stands in the final three minutes of the game. The Vikings last line of defense was a big reason for the five-point win.

Special Teams Player of the Game

Greg Joseph, K

Greg Joseph is the pick for making all of his kicks. He made all three extra points and both field goals. One of those field goals was from 51. That was his first made field goal of the season from more than 50 yards.
