The Minnesota Vikings have made some tweaks to the roster in recent weeks. Injuries are the reason for all of the tweaks. They usually are. The Vikings cornerback group took significant injury hits in November. Cam Dantzler, Sr is on injured reserve with an ankle injury. Andrew Booth Jr. was added to injured reserve this week after season-ending knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus. Akayleb Evans has missed the past two games as he recovers from a concussion. That’s three of the team’s top five cornerbacks. The good news is that Evans is expected to return to the field this Sunday and Dantzler may return next week. The Vikings are getting healthier at the critical cornerback position for the final month of the season. It seems that with each lost cornerback a tight end has been added. A few weeks ago, the Vikings had only two tight ends on the active roster.

For the past several weeks, the Vikings have carried a roster with a surprising 23:27 edge to the defense. The apparent cornerback for tight end exchange has balanced the roster at 25:25.
