The ballot for the 2023 Class of the College Football Hall of Fame was released this week. The ballot includes 80 players and nine coaches from the Football Bowl Subdivision and 96 players and 33 coaches from the divisional ranks.
The criteria for Hall of Fame consideration include:
-a player must have received First-Team All-America recognition
-a player becomes eligible 10 full seasons after his final year of college football
-a coach becomes eligible three full seasons after retirement
-a coach becomes immediately eligible provided he is at least 70 years of age
-a coach must have coached 10 years and 100 games with a .600 winning %
