All-Time Chicago Bears Team

The Minnesota Vikings make the short trip to Chicago this weekend for a Monday Night game with the Bears. It’ll be the second consecutive prime time game for both teams. As one of only two original teams, the Bears have a long history. They also have a mostly strong history. The team’s nine titles is topped only by the 13 won by the Green Bay Packers. Despite overall success, their current 36-year title drought is the longest that the franchise has seen. Poor little Bears. The middle linebacker tradition in Chicago is ridiculous. No other team can boast the riches at any position that the Bears can boast at the middle linebacker position. Bulldog Turner, Bill George, Dick Butkus, Mike Singletary, Brian Urlacher. Roquan Smith is on pace to join them. It’s a tradition so great that I’ve selected a middle linebacker trio. I’ve done that at the expense of outstanding outside linebackers like Otis Wilson, Lance Briggs, and Joe Fortunato.
