William V. Campbell Trophy Finalists

Last week, the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame announced the finalists for the 2020 William V. Campbell Trophy. The award, often referred to as the Academic Heisman, recognizes one scholar-athlete in college football for his combined academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership. The William V. Campbell is one of the most prestigious of college football's postseason awards. Since it recognizes academic accomplishments and leadership in addition to on-the-field work, it's one of the least known. Imagine that.

Selected from a record 199 semifinalists nationwide from among all NCAA divisions and the NAIA, the 12 finalists are:

The 12 finalists will each receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2020 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class Presented by Fidelity Investments.
