Brandt's Target Numbers

The NFL Scouting Combine is floods those that follow the event with numbers. Timed and measured drills generate loads of data. The 40 times are pretty easy to decipher. Under 4.5 is pretty fast. 4.4 is fast. 4.3 is really fast. 4.2 is blazing. The numbers for the 3-cone drill and the 20-yard shuttle aren't so easy to decipher. Well, Gil Brandt is here to help. He recently posted Combine target numbers for each position. It's wise to trust him. He's been scouting football players pretty much since scouting football players has been a thing. He's going to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in August for his scouting and his impact on the profession. He continues to impact our understanding of the game.
