Flea Flicker Top-15 Defensive Tackles

Continuing the Flea Flicker Top-15 series and passing the time before training camp, here's a look at the Top-15 Defensive Tackles entering the 2016 season.

15. Sharrif Floyd, Minnesota Vikings
Floyd has the talent to make a Geno Atkins-like impact on the Vikings defense. He just has to stay on the field. Every time it feels like he's about to take off injuries sideline him.

14. Ian Williams, San Francisco 49ers
After not seeing the field much in his first three seasons, Williams has made his presence felt the last two seasons. He was a priority re-signing of the 49ers this offseason and has a very bright future with the team.

13. Dontari Poe, Kansas City Chiefs
Poe's production fell off a bit in 2015. Injuries played a role in that.

12. Brandon Williams, Baltimore Ravens
Williams is one of the emerging nose tackles in the game. His presence made Haloti Ngata expendable.

11. Gerald McCoy, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
McCoy has been a solid player since he entered the league in 2010. He's been to the Pro Bowl each of the last four seasons. He's a very good football player. It just feels like he has the talent to be one of the best four or five defensive tackles in the game.

10. Derek Wolfe, Denver Broncos
On the surface, it appears that the Broncos chose to retain Wolfe over Malik Jackson when dishing out contract extensions. Wolfe was excellent during the Broncos Super Bowl run.

  9. Marcell Dareus, Buffalo Bills
Dareus has been solid, at times better than that, ever since he was drafted thrid overall in 2011. He has the talent to be dominant all of the time.

  8. Malik Jackson, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jackson was outstanding and earned a huge free agent payday during the Super Bowl run of the Denver Broncos. Now, he's expected to sustain that level of play on a less talented Jaguars defense.

  7. Damon Harrison, New York Giants
Harrison played in the shadows of talented linemen with the New York Jets. With a giant free agent deal he takes center stage with the Giants. He's near impossible to move in the run game.

  6. Nadmukong Suh, Miami Dolphins
He has the talent to be at the top of this list. He sometimes disappears in games. A player this skilled and powerful should never disappear.

  5. Fletcher Cox, Philadelphia Eagles
Cox is one of the most complete interior linemen in the league. Fierce against the run and the pass.

  4. Linval Joseph, Minnesota Vikings
Joseph might have been the best defensive tackle in the game for the first half of the 2015 season. Then a foot injury derailed that pace. He controlled the middle of the line. He's so big, strong, and quick.

  3. Geno Atkins, Cincinnati Bengals
Atkins is often in the backfield at the snap of the ball. It looks like he's completely back from the knee injury that wiped out much of his 2013 season.

  2. Kawann Short, Carolina Panthers
Short really came into his own last season. 11 sacks. For an interior lineman.

  1. Aaron Donald, Los Angeles Rams
Donald is among the most disruptive defensive football players in the league and he's only entering his third season.
