Minnesota Vikings 90-Player Roster

The Minnesota Vikings signed three players after a weekend of tryouts.

Tre Roberson, CB, Illinois State
Troy Stoudermire, WR, Minnesota
C.J. Ham, RB, Augustana

Roberson played quarterback at Illinois State but switched to corner for the NFL. Or switched to corner by the NFL. Stoudermire also went through some position changes. He started his college days at Minnesota as a receiver before he switched to corner. He finished his college career as the NCAA's all-time kickoff return yards leader. He's spent the last three years as a defensive back in the CFL. The Vikings plans are for him to compete at receiver.

The Tuesday signing of Ham came at a cost. The Vikings had to release safety John Lowdermilk to make room on the roster. Ham is a big back at 6'1" 238 lbs. That's the sort of size that the Vikings didn't really have. So, maybe it gives him a shot.

The Vikings are now at the NFL's 90-player roster limit. Many have speculated that they intend to bring in some competition at punter. If that's the case the roster will have to be further tweaked before training camp.
