The 2015 Pro Football Hall of Fame induction weekend is here. The new inductees received their spiffy gold jackets on Thursday night. The Gold Jacket Photo Op was yesterday with more than 100 returning Hall of Famers expected. That's a large number of the 167 living Hall of Famers. The parade through downtown Canton is this morning. The Induction Ceremonies follow this evening evening. The Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers meet in the Hall of Fame game tomorrow evening to close out the weekend. It's a grand time. All of this is to honor the Hall of Fame and their eight new members.

New members Jerome Bettis and Tim Brown forced the first place tie. Miami should jump up quite a bit in the coming years with the likely inductions of Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Reggie Wayne, and Andre Johnson.
Les Richter was the first Pro Football Hall of Fame player from Cal when he was inducted in 2011. Tony Gonzalez, Aaron Rodgers, and Marshawn Lynch should join him when their times come. None of those three will have to wait nearly as long as Richter. He was inducted nearly 50 years after his last NFL snap. Until Gonzalez, Rodgers, and Lynch join him, Richter will be the lone Golden Bear in Canton.
The same as Hardin-Simmons-Bulldog Turner
And Kutztown St.-Andre Reed
Phillips University-Steve Owen
North Texas St.-Joe Greene
And Sonoma St.-Larry Allen
Fewer than Compton Junior College-Hugh McElhenny, Joe Perry, Pete Rozelle
And Carlisle-Jim Thorpe, Joe Guyon
And no college at all-Joe Carr, Tim Mara
The people that have made football such a great game have come from everywhere.
