For lack of anything better to do I came up with a Flea Flicker All-Free Agent Team. With a week to go before the NFL's annual shopping spree some of these players may not actually be on the market. So here we go, the 2015 All-Free Agent Team:
Quarterback:
Mark Sanchez, I guess.
Running back:
DeMarco Murray
Mark Ingram
Fullback:
John Kuhn
Receiver:
Demaryius Thomas
Dez Bryant
Tight end:
Jordan Cameron
Tackle:
Bryan Bulaga
Michael Oher
Guard:
Mike Iupati
Orlando Franklin
Center:
Rodney Hudson
Defensive end:
Greg Hardy
Jason-Pierre Paul
Defensive tackle:
Ndamukong Suh
Jared Odrick
Outside linebacker:
Justin Houston
Bruce Carter
Middle linebacker:
David Harris
Cornerback:
Brandon Flowers
Byron Maxwell
Safety:
Devin McCourty
Antrell Rolle
There's a ton of talent potentially available in free agency. With some teams having over $50 million in cap space there could be insane bidding.
Wow. Despite the overall talent there's not a lot at quarterback. There were four quarterbacks selected among the top-12 picks of the 2011 NFL Draft. Three are scheduled to become free agents next week. Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, and Christian Ponder. Only Cam Newton has a future with the team that drafted him.
It's expected that Demaryius Thomas, Dez Bryant, Jason-Pierre Paul, Justin Houston, and Devin McCourty will either be re-signed or saddled with the Franchise Tag. Who knows?
