The Minnesota Vikings can make it to the NFL playoffs. A whole list of things has to go their way but it can happen.
First of all, the Vikings have to win their remaining three games.
@Detroit
@Miami
Chicago
And, St. Louis has to win their remaining games.
Arizona
New York Giants
@Seattle
And, either Dallas or Philadelphia has to lose their remaining games.
Dallas @ Philadelphia
Indianapolis@Dallas/Philadelphia@Washington
Dallas@Washington/Philadelphia@New York Giants
-so the loser of this Sunday's Cowboys-Eagles game has to continue to lose
And, Seattle has to lose their remaining games.
San Francisco
@Arizona
St. Louis
And, San Francisco must lose at least one more game.
@Seattle-can't be this one
San Diego
Arizona
And, Detroit must win one more game.
Minnesota-can't be this one
@Chicago
@Green Bay
And, Roger Goodell must be struck by lightning.
Basically, Minnesota, St. Louis, Seattle, and either Philadelphia or Dallas has to finish to finish the season at 9-7. San Francisco has to finish at 8-8 or 9-7. Detroit has to get to at least 10 wins.
If all of that happens, the Minnesota Vikings are the #6 seed in the NFC.
At a glance, the biggest obstacle to a Vikings playoff appearance becoming reality is the Seahawks losing all three of their remaining games. All three are division games in a very rough division.
So, there's still a chance.
