Minnesota Vikings Roster

The Minnesota Vikings can’t catch a break at the cornerback position. They were hurting at the position last week against the Green Bay Packers. Cameron Dantzler was taken off the field on stretcher while strapped to a board. Mark Fields suffered a punctured lung and he’s now on injured reserve. Kris Boyd was helped off the field. Fortunately, thankfully, he’ll be available for tomorrow’s game against the Detroit Lions. Boyd, Jeff Gladney, and recently signed Chris Jones are this week’s healthy corners. Harrison Hand has been deemed questionable. The good is that Mike Zimmer and the defensive coaches have gotten used to patching together the cornerbacks. The bad is that they have to patch together the cornerbacks. 

The cornerback situation forced the Vikings to look for some healthy help. They only affordable source for cornerback help is the practice squad of other teams. Dylan Mabin was plucked from the practice squad of the Las Vegas Raiders. The only other Vikings roster tweak this week was the promotion of defensive tackle Hercules Mata’afa from the practice squad to the active roster. 

Here's the Vikings roster in advance of tomorrow's home game against the Detroit Lions. This is a must-win game as all remaining games are. That's the predicament when a team starts a season with so damn many losses.
