This odd offseason has slowed the draft pick signing process of nearly every team. A few teams have taken care of their business. Most teams haven't. It feels like a throwback to the days before the 2011 CBA. I don't like it. I like seeing bureaucratic, bookkeeping stuff out of the way. I like the attention on the fun stuff. The football stuff. It's an odd, difficult time. Here's a look at the current state of the slow draft pick signing process.
First Round Signings:
1. Cincinnati Bengals-Joe Burrow, QB, LSU
2. Washington Redskins-Chase Young, Edge, Ohio State

It's the Fourth of July and six of the 32 first round draft picks have signed their initial NFL contract.
The 49ers took care of their first round signing business in a single day on June 26.
The other rounds (as of 7/4/20):
2nd round: 9/32 have signed
3rd round: 13/42
4th round: 10/40
5th round: 11/33
6th round: 18/35
7th round: 10/41
Only 77 of the 255 draft picks have signed their first NFL contract. That's about 30.2%. It feels like 2010.
The Minnesota Vikings drafted an NFL record 15 players in a seven-round draft. They have yet to sign any of those 15 players. They aren't alone. The following teams have yet to sign a draft pick.
Arizona Cardinals
Atlanta Falcons
Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals
Dallas Cowboys
Denver Broncos
Kansas City Chiefs
Las Vegas Raiders
Los Angeles Chargers
Los Angeles Rams
New Orleans Saints
Pittsburgh Steelers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Washington Redskins
The New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, and Indianapolis Colts are the only teams to sign every member of their draft class. The other 14 teams are somewhere in between. Many of those teams have only signed a pick or two. It's been a very different, very slow offseaon when it comes to signing draft picks. Hopefully things will get to something close to normal soon.
