NFL Training Camps start opening in a couple weeks. If a player is still a free agent there's a good chance they'll remain a free agent. It's not likely teams will be making last minute roster tweaks this late in the process. These players are likely stuck on the wrong side of the employment line until training camp/preseason injuries hit. There are always training camp/preseason injuries. It's football.
1. Eric Berry, S, Kansas City Chiefs

Nearly all of these players are on the wrong side of 30. The salary cap and top-heavy rosters (quarterbacks) has made the NFL a mostly young player's game. If a team is devoting about half of it's cap space to a handful of players, role players and depth players must be on their rookie deals. Teams can't afford 30-year old backups.
It's still a little jolting to see Eric Berry on this list. His health will always be a question mark and must be the main reason for his extended unemployment. He isn't far removed from being one of the best football players in the game. If he's cleared to play, he can play. And he'd bring leadership and character to any locker room he joins.
I would think that Morris Claiborne could help several teams. You can never have enough corners. Despite being the sixth pick of the 2012 NFL Draft his most productive years have come in recent years. He's never been the player that the Cowboys drafted him to be but he's been a solid corner for the Jets.
This list is still sprinkled with talented, if aged, safeties and defensive tackles.
