Walter Payton Man of the Year Nominees

Team nominees for the prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year award started trickling out across the league yesterday. At an event in Bloomington last night, Minnesota Vikings defensive tackle Harrison Phillips was surprised with the news that he is the team’s nominee. It’s his third time as a nominee. The first two were as a member of the Buffalo Bills. Phillips headlines the list of 32 nominees for the 2023 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award

One of the cool things about the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award is that all 32 of the nominees are deserving of taking home the statue of the Bears great running back. There are many more players on each team that are deserving of nomination. There’s no scarcity of NFL players doing great things in their communities. Congratulations to all 32 of the nominees. Especially Harrison Phillips.
